All About Age of Ravens

My blog, Age of Ravens, is up for an ENnie Award this year. To help new users, I’ve categorized some of my 2016-17 posts. I have a lot of content in a supremely retro format. I hope this will help you figure out what the blog’s about and find cool & useful articles. Check it out (and maybe vote for me if you dig it?) There’s a ton of material there…

I love the OGL Cybernet cover on the list because I imagine they’re taking a selfie and the two in back are competing to see who can look more glam.

Once again we return to the wild world of cyberpunk. But as you’ll see, these are leaner times. Our list is filled with oddballs, awesomesauce, and “cyberpunk-adjacent” rpgs. It also signals our entry into the d20 era, always a danger zone for these lists.

I am up for an ENnie Award for Best Blog. If you dig my work, I hope you’ll consider voting for me there. Once again thanks for your support. Please reshare this liberally anywhere you think it might be of interest. If you have questions, comments, critiques, missives, chicanery, or hagiographies, please feel free to send those on.

I thought with Origins falling in the middle of the month, I might not get this in. But here we are under the wire. There’s a lot to unpack in these two years. Cyberpunk 2020 sparked a boom in cyberpunk rpgs, for better or worse. We have some innovative games, others that drag in tech elements to make themselves cyberpunk-ish, and a few in desperate need of a proofreader.

Check these out and maybe back my Patreon. I’ve had a good response to these cyberpunk lists, so I’ll continue these for the next few more months. That will let me steel myself for a return to the Universal RPGs lists shudder.

Hack Question

Hack Question

Hack Question

If one wanted one of the several available X Hack games, which would you choose to simulate the tone and level of LotFP. If I wanted to use another system for one of their modules, what would you recommend? The answer amy be obvious, but I’m woefully ignorant on this.

In particular I’m looking at Kelvin Green’s Forgive Us module for LotFP. So I’m trying to find something decent and simple which can capture that feel (actually, not necessarily X Hackish).
