  3. That was an interesting read. These kind of afterthoughts I’m always curious about and which to me are also part of RPG.

    What I remember from the one session Tales from the Loop we played together is also the time we took for the introductory home scenes. These cinematic moments how each kid gets up and is getting ready for the day, how we meet our parents and siblings at the breakfast table, then getting on our bike to meet each other on our way to school is a strong opening scene.

    There is a larp called “Cafe Sarabande” who is using the power of such opening scenes on routine activities perfectly. Like every day begins exactly the same, only small nuances are changed and inform others about what is going on with your character and their relationships.
