Hello everybody! I just ran a game of Monster of the Week and I love it! I had a question though.

Harm is a new thing for me, as are Harm Moves. If I deal 2 harm to someone and their armor reduces it to 0, am I supposed to choose a 0 Harm move or do I pick from the 1+ harm move list? I assume I would pick a 0 Harm move, but one if the Chosen moves threw me off (the one that makes the Keeper have to pick from the next tier down in the harm list). What’s the right play here?

Well I finally just bit the bullet and decided to publish something.

Well I finally just bit the bullet and decided to publish something. I am excited to announce that my Compendium Compilation is available on Drivethru RPG! Some of you may remember the Monster Hunter compendium class that was mentioned in Discern Realities. Well it is in there, plus 12 other compendium classes of my own design! Since this is my first, feedback is greatly appreciated as it will help me develop better projects in the future. Thanks in advance to any who decide to pick it up!

I need some help coming up with the name of a world I’m building.

I need some help coming up with the name of a world I’m building.

I need some help coming up with the name of a world I’m building. I’ll give some exposition, in case it helps anyone out.

It’s basically a fantasy world at the point of, for lack of a better description, discovering South America and trying to settle it. My setting takes place in the colonial town of Irongate on the edge of a vast jungle. The people there left the old world about a century ago because of how crowded it was and the quickly dwindling resources. There was a melting pot Empire in the old world, which is the Empire that sent them over, along with some other, more racially separated groups which have also established some remote colonies on the new continent.

Dragons are rare now, though a rare, more humanoid race of reptillians exist which claim them as ancestors. There are dragon ruins on the new continent, as well as races that still cling to worshipping dragons even though they aren’t present.

I know that’s not much to go on, but I am coming up with nothing as far as a name for the overall world. Any help is appreciated!

I was thinking about madness while working on a project for Dungeon World.

I was thinking about madness while working on a project for Dungeon World.

I was thinking about madness while working on a project for Dungeon World. I have a cursed item that causes the wielder to slowly go insane. I want that to be a tangible mechanic, so I am going to make madness an amount that accumulates over time. My question to you is, should the maximum sanity a person has be equal to their Intelligence stat or their Wisdom stat? I plan on making a Get A Hold of Yourself move that functions like Last Breath but for when your madness would exceed your sanity (since you would essentially lose control of your character after you go insane) and I plan on it being a +WIS roll. For some reason I feel Intellect better represents a person’s capability for logical thought over allowing themselves to be driven insane, but WIS is used for mental fortitude when you use Defy Danger. See my dilemma?

Any suggestions are welcome =)

Hello! I wanted to get a quick opinion on a cursed magic item I am writing up.

Hello! I wanted to get a quick opinion on a cursed magic item I am writing up.

It’s a Ring of Drowning. It gives a person the ability to breathe underwater if they are wearing it underwater, but if they wear it while out of water it starts filling their lungs with water. My question is, should the water in the lungs effect stop after they take the ring off or should it only stop if the curse is removed?

Hey guys!

Hey guys!

Hey guys! I wanted to share this with you all. Its a magic item from my personal project to bring more magic items from D&D and convert them for use with Dungeon World. The info is in the original post.

Sneak Peak!

Here is an item from the magical item list I mentioned yesterday. Its just one of the 200+ magic items I am converting from D&D for Dungeon World. The finished product will have random tables for the GMs who just like to let fate decide what magic items his/her players get. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this free sample: The Marvelous Pigments!

Marvelous Pigments; 3 uses, 1 weight

Created by a mage who was gifted in both arcane and classical art, anything you paint with them will become real. Painting a door on a wall allows you to pass through it. Painting a feast makes real, edible food. When you paint a creature, place, or object with the marvelous pigments, spend 1 use and roll:

• +1 if you have something to reference.

• +1 if you use high quality art brushes.

• +1 if you have plenty of time and don’t rush.

• +1 if you have an artistic background.

On a 10+ the painting is a masterpiece! When

it becomes real, it is as if it were the original subject in every way. On a 7-9 it looks real enough, but upon close inspection some flaws and imperfections can be seen (painted food tastes a bit off, a person may have strange

proportions, etc).

Looking for some inspiration on my next Dungeon World setting.

Looking for some inspiration on my next Dungeon World setting.

Looking for some inspiration on my next Dungeon World setting. I’m looking for a name for the world it will be in. I’ll give some background to give a little more insight on the setting.

The world was originally ruled by dragons until people discovered how to use magic. There was a war, people won the war and drove dragons to the far corners of the world. Centuries later a dragon took the guise of a human and ended up taking a position of power where he could collect powerful magical items/artifacts that he planned to use the energy of to destroy the world (if we can’t have it, no one can type of thing). Well some heroes manage to partially disrupt his plan, but the world is still ripped asunder. So now it is made up of floating islands. The campaign will take place when travel between the islands is unheard of but something happens that makes it possible.

So there is my brief history of the world. Now I just need some input on ideas for the name of the world. I imagine it was probably originally named by dragons, since they were the first rulers of it. Thats about all I have come up with so far.

I shared this on the Tavern, but I wanted my non-tavern-going Gauntlet friends to see it if they were interested also. I made some Dungeon World related stuff on my Zazzle store! Also Jason Cordova if you’d rather not have this kind of thing on here, feel free to take it down. Thanks!
