So, we got any teachers with summers off here?

So, we got any teachers with summers off here? This is the last summer my kid’s child care is taken care of and I will have my days during every one else’s work hours free. I’d love to use some of those days for gaming!

I had a blast running Psi*Run and Lovecraftesque at #OwlCon this weekend.

I’m running Psi*Run and Lovecraftesque at OwlCon. I haven’t played with The Gauntleteers in a very long time, so I thought I’d let y’all know. (Also running Pandánte and Two Rooms and a Boom for any board game fans.)

Ha, ask in passing about printed cards, get yelled at by Jason Morningstar, and lo and behold, here are printed cards.

For serious, this is a very clever story game/tool. Highest recommendation (and now you don’t need to deal with the arts & crafts element).

This has nothing to do with games, but YOU GUYS SHOULD SEE THESE MOVIES!!

Sweet Beagle of Doom, I love Shane Curruth’s movies.  Primer blew my mind, and I just watched Upstream Color.  I don’t have time to watch many movies, so I’m glad I picked this one.  The experience is what watching one of those bizarre creations in Rousseau’s Locus Solus would be like. Wow.  Wow.  Wow.

There is this board/card game called Pandante, by David Sirlin that I’m backing on Kickstarter.

There is this board/card game called Pandante, by David Sirlin that I’m backing on Kickstarter. It’s a panda theme gambling game about getting away with lying and laughing about it. Here’s the link https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sirlin/pandante-light-and-dark

I have not played this one yet, but I love Yomi and Puzzle Strike. Right now they are streaming an exhibition in case you’re interested. I thought The Gauntlet might forgive me posting about a board game since this one involves a bit of role play.

The #PatronDrive is almost up. You have until the end of April 8th to join the Patron Horde at www.Patreon.com/Epidiah and still get the coupon code that gives you 25% off of all back issues. I mean, you’re always welcome to join the Patron Horde, but now is the time if you want that coupon.

To help convince you, I’m going to tell you a little bit about the latest game to appear within the pages of Worlds Without Master, Invisible Empire.

The lowdown: You play ambassadors, explorers, knights, dignitaries, entertainers, and anyone else with reason to be before the throne of the Silent Emperor. You are—under threat of death or worse—to amuse the Silent Emperor with accounts of the empire. Pray that you are not boring or caught within a lie.

Invisible Empire is carved from the Discovery Phase in Swords Without Master. It is a taste of the game that can be played in about a half hour or so. But there are worlds hidden within this tiny game. In the amount of time it takes for you to wait for that last player who is always running late to your regularly scheduled game, you can spin out enough setting material to last an entire campaign.

Also, check out those illustrations from Christopher Kimball!
