Well, delving into some old school role playing. Some Sword and Sorcery in particular. I came across a supplement for Legend game system by Mongoose, called Spider God’s Bride. The roleplay has been superb and has really set the tone as one of intrigue with a moderate overarching sense of fear of the unknown with demonic undertones. I am using Tavern Keeper as a play by post engine and we’re in the third chapter of a three chapter adventure, about 275+ individual replies . It’s not a perfect system by all means, but it works well for what it does. So, for those interested, you might want to check it out. Many PbtA games on there as well as FATE core and FAE.
I just checked and confirmed that I am vetted to run 3 sessions at Owl Con, in Houston, TX, Feb 10-12 in 2017.
I just checked and confirmed that I am vetted to run 3 sessions at Owl Con, in Houston, TX, Feb 10-12 in 2017. I will be running two 2-hour sessions of Fiasco “Bookhounds of London” and a four hour session of “In Flames” a mini 6 rpg. Just FYI…:)
FYI: I got the invite to GM at OwlCon this year. I’ll probably be running 2 sessions of Fiasco (Bookhounds of London Playset) and a session of “In Flames” a D6 rpg which uses the Mini 6 System, once I get the full approval.

Well I feel a little shy about this, but here is a shameless plug for a gofundme project that will help me create a games library for my students. If you’d like to see the wishlist of games, just ask. Dungeon World and FATE Core are on that list!
I was watching yet another YouTube (I really need to stop) gameplay for FATE Core.
I was watching yet another YouTube (I really need to stop) gameplay for FATE Core. I couldn’t help but think – this gm is having trouble with the system, dictating what the players do and say, and that this is the second time I’ve wondered if the gm had the players do the phase trio. I would have never picked up FATE if I had see this video. I had to stop halfway through the second part and they were supposed to be playing through “The Demolished Ones” which is super fantastic otherwise. I guess it’s true that FATE is a little difficult to learn for some folks. I does require some creative input from the players and the GM does have to be able to understand the system just enough to take advantage of aspects and know when to use succeed at cost.
I was at Owlcon yesterday. I ran 2 sessions of Fiasco and both were super awesome. I had only one person sign up for Dungeon World and had to cancel. Other than that everything was great! My only regret is not being able to run DW.
