I posted a review of the new 7th Sea rpg. I ran two sessions of this for TGI Thursday. At the post I have links to those two videos. A couple of people asked me about this so I thought I’d link to this here.

A new episode of the Hooded Luchadore. He looks at the Gauntlet League Wrestling action in St. Petersburg from this weekend. Horrible injuries, feuds settled, careers ended, awesome debuts & more. I also have a link to the session video in the description of this one. Thanks again to HL for this.
Session three of eight of this World Wide Wrestling promotion.

The Hooded Luchadore gives us his insight into the most recent Gauntlet League Wrestling show in Newark. He misses a bunch of things (like Jeffrey Bleakwood’s mask-work in the final bout). But he hits some of the “high” points.
The Hooded Luchadore
Found a new fan assessment video for the first show from Gauntlet League Wrestling. He rates some of the bouts, digs up news, and shows off some merch.
Gauntlet League Wrestling
Gauntlet League Wrestling
We saw the first session of the new season of Gauntlet League Wrestling broadcast yesterday. It was a pretty amazing performance, showcasing old hands and new faces. Fabuloso, The Executioner, Terry Burns!, Cyborg Destroyer, Jeffery Bleakwood, and Harbinger all had on-screen time. Awesome drama erupted and I’m looking forward to seeing these rivalries play out. I had a message from The Hooded Luchadore. He’s going to do a reaction video, but he hyperventilated during that last match, so he’s delayed.
This was World Wide Wrestling (a game you should check out). We had a Cultural Champion, Veteran, Wasted, Time Bomb, Provocateur, and Monster respectively. If you’d like to see the character creation heat map, you can check that out here:
The actual wrestling play starts at 58:08
PbtA Games Question:
How many PbtA games don’t have a strong and clear fictional genre or trope they’re emulating? Or change it up so much that it detaches from the original? I’m thinking about this after trying to work through Legacy and figure out how to approach it at the table. It cites Stalker, Fallout, and Mad Max) as sources, but it also cites the Civilization video game. So we’ve got two very different approaches blended for a hybrid genre (generational post-apocalyptic) that isn’t as well represented (He mentions Canticle for Leibowitz).
So are there other PbtA games presenting something most players won’t have a fictional touchstone for?
(Alternately have I missed a library of multigenerational PA stories?)
Last Minute: I’m running a session of World Wide Wrestling tomorrow on Roll20 (8/15 8pm EST going to 10+ish).
Last Minute: I’m running a session of World Wide Wrestling tomorrow on Roll20 (8/15 8pm EST going to 10+ish). We’re a mix of wrestling amateurs/pbta players and vice versa. I’ve run a handful of sessions. I have room for one (maybe two) more for this pick up session. They’ve played with these characters a couple of times. Hit me up if you’re interested.
A few weeks ago on Super Friends we talked about Changeling the Lost and doing it with Urban Shadows (or other PbtA).
A few weeks ago on Super Friends we talked about Changeling the Lost and doing it with Urban Shadows (or other PbtA). I finally had the chance to sit down and write up some thoughts on that. Just starters, but I think its a do-able project.
