For those craving some Wuxia but have issues with lack of translations, I’ve recently been watching “Into The Badlands” (It’s on at least Netflix) which is some great post-apocalyptic setting action.
Many folks have been asking where The Gauntlet is going to go once G+ is gone. The answer we have landed on is opening our own forums. At the end of the day, The Gauntlet is always at its best when we have our own platform and are not subject to the vicissitudes of a large corporation (see: the many dramas involving Meetup and Gauntlet Hangouts which forced us to just design our own damn RSVP system).
The forums are not quite ready, but trust that they will be up and running by the time the G+ closure takes place in April.
So watch this space. We’ll have more to say about The Gauntlet Forums soon! If you have any questions, just post them here. Cc: Shane Liebling
Our annual gala episode is here! It’s a celebration of independent tabletop roleplaying games as members of The Gauntlet community highlight their faves from the last year. A full list of the selected games (plus links) can be found below.

In Scum and Villainy, I see how to build your ship, and that it has stats like hull, and weaponry, but I don’t see how these stats effect the game. Any advice would be very helpful.

I recently relocated from the Bay Area of California back to Seattle, where I’m from. I had to leave a 10 year standing, four times a month, gaming group in California. I’m looking for advice on finding a local, more indie and narrative focused, gaming group in the Seattle area.
I’ve been to my local comics shop, that hosts a couple of meet ups that are promising. Most of the public stuff I see around is Pathfinder, which I’m not interested in playing. When I do OSR and D&D type stuff, I prefer either modern takes like the Black Hack or things like Dungeon Craw Classics.
My old group had a long running Blades in the Dark campaign and also played a bunch of Apocalypse World derivatives and FATE. These are much more in line with my interests.

Good idea or bad idea, I want to make the final boss of my DW campaign as difficult as I can since my group has beaten every challenge in their path. Should I make the boss have its own class and literally play the monster itself as my own character? They seem to push through every obstacle I place in front of them so quickly and without any true challenge 😑
