Hearts of Wulin – Blog Post and The Gauntlet Podcast

Hello! Many folks have been asking for more information about Hearts of Wulin ever since we aired our Favorite Games of 2018 podcast. Well, we aim to please…

Lowell Francis wrote a blog post discussing the three mechanical pillars of the game. It’s a great read and a terrific introduction to what the game is about. It can be found right here:

We also have an interview hitting The Gauntlet Podcast feed today. This interview originally appeared in the Pocket-Sized Play feed, but it’s a really interesting and informative discussion, and we wanted as many people as possible to hear it, and so we have cross-posted it. Check it out here:

If you have any questions about Hearts of Wulin or just want to discuss it, please do so in the comments!

Hey Gauntleteers, it’s time to crowdsource the miscellany for Codex – Bone.

Hey Gauntleteers, it’s time to crowdsource the miscellany for Codex – Bone.

Hey Gauntleteers, it’s time to crowdsource the miscellany for Codex – Bone. This miscellany is called “Three Dozen Things That Are Terribly Wrong with These Bones.” Submissions need to be a single sentence, or 2-3 short sentences. By submitting here, you’re agreeing to let us use it (you’ll get a credit on the issue). We’re looking for evocative things; the purpose of the miscellany is to inspire the reader.

Here are some examples:

“Radiocarbon dating placed the vertebrae at the end of the Ice Age, removing the possibility of a sauropod. Barring evidence of an ancient giraffe population in Ontario, this may be a previously undiscovered species.”

“Damn it, I know what spongy bone looks like, and this isn’t it! This was a hive.

“The crew remain distressed by the local flora, claiming to see human remains in every fallen branch. I confess the resemblance grows harder to ignore. I myself found a perfectly formed jawbone, and can find no carving marks upon it.”

P.S. If you want to be credited as something other than your G+ name, let me know!
