I recently relocated from the Bay Area of California back to Seattle, where I’m from. I had to leave a 10 year standing, four times a month, gaming group in California. I’m looking for advice on finding a local, more indie and narrative focused, gaming group in the Seattle area.

I’ve been to my local comics shop, that hosts a couple of meet ups that are promising. Most of the public stuff I see around is Pathfinder, which I’m not interested in playing. When I do OSR and D&D type stuff, I prefer either modern takes like the Black Hack or things like Dungeon Craw Classics.

My old group had a long running Blades in the Dark campaign and also played a bunch of Apocalypse World derivatives and FATE. These are much more in line with my interests.

I’m new to doing gaming online in video conferencing but I know it has been a thing for a while.

I’m new to doing gaming online in video conferencing but I know it has been a thing for a while. I have an in person and local gaming group that meets a few times a month. I’m interested in more one off and ongoing games only need because of the obvious convenience and because I do a lot of video for work. Are there good guides for how people find games, meet folks online, etc out there?
