The Gauntlet Forums are coming!

Many folks have been asking where The Gauntlet is going to go once G+ is gone. The answer we have landed on is opening our own forums. At the end of the day, The Gauntlet is always at its best when we have our own platform and are not subject to the vicissitudes of a large corporation (see: the many dramas involving Meetup and Gauntlet Hangouts which forced us to just design our own damn RSVP system).

The forums are not quite ready, but trust that they will be up and running by the time the G+ closure takes place in April.

So watch this space. We’ll have more to say about The Gauntlet Forums soon! If you have any questions, just post them here. Cc: Shane Liebling

  1. Sidney Icarus I don’t think so. There may eventually be parts of the forums that are Patreon-gated, but for the most part, this is going to be our public-facing place. Slack is kind of a private space.

  3. Thanks for the update, Jason. I’ll definitely be joining.

I’d imagine the forum would be analogous to G+. Many people who use Slack still participate in the open G+ discussion.

  5. Robert Bohl Yeah, definitely. It should be pretty active, too, since we have been kind of slowing down on G+ ever since the closure was announced. We need a space to announce and discuss things publicly!

  7. Ferrell Riley I believe Shane Liebling and Joao are running internal tests now. We’re rolling it out in stages to make sure it holds up and to catch bugs. You’ll have a chance to break it soon!
