I love this game and didn’t know about or forgot the volleyball rule. That’s incredibly valuable.

Re: the volleyball rule: We Used To Be Friends by Jonathan Lavallee has a similar rule (you can’t make two moves in a row), except you are allowed to violate it if you accept an immediate “cliff hanger” — i.e., an uncertain conclusion to the scene that leaves your character in peril. I think it’s meant to make sure everyone gets some spotlight time and promote interplayer cooperation but with some flexibility if a player really want to take the reigns. Simple rule but it’s effective!
