Interesting. I had never heard of several of these. Also, as far as pearl-clutching goes, I wonder if F.A.T.A.L is any worse than Lamentations of the Flame Princess/Carcosa.

Some pics from this past weekend. We played Archipelago and a Dungeon World One-Shot. DW and Archipelago were easily two of my favorite RPGs this year, so it was good to get them to the table one last time in 2013 (Monsterhearts, which was also right up there, is being played tonight).  

We did a 1,001 Nights setting for Archipelago. Our heroes were: a swanmay, kept in a harem by an evil ifrit; a sorcerer in service to an exiled people; and a classic, Aladin-esque thief. For Dungeon World, our heroes were plundering the lost keep of the Ulfaren dwarf clan (a scenario I have, admittedly, run in the past).

Some pics from Wednesday game night. We played 2 tables of Vincent Baker ‘s In a Wicked Age.  A fun time was had by most. Thanks to Rob Ferguson for organizing. 

As a reminder, tomorrow is our last Friday One-Shots for the year. We will be playing the excellent story game, Archipelago.
