Looking for three more hardy rogues for Dungeon World Mondays starting September 26th. The setting is still Conan style fantasy but the adventure starts in a new city and region. There are a lot of blanks on the map and I am hopping to discover a lot of interesting details from the players as we explore it together.

Another great session of Monsterhearts!

We almost acted like a regular party of PCs at the start of this, banding together to work like a team.

That lasted at least 5 seconds after the rescue and then the fault-lines erupted again, worse than ever.

Does any PbtA game completely do away with the concept of character/adversary health (hp, harm, clocks, etc.)?

If so, what is the replacement? I’m trying to picture a way of making it all work without “Deal Damage” as a GM move, and I’m having a bit of trouble.

I’m starting a new DW game with my wife and a couple of friends next week, so I’m working on a dungeon for them.

I’m starting a new DW game with my wife and a couple of friends next week, so I’m working on a dungeon for them. I’ve got a move for the steep and winding stairs leading to the Archive (a mystical place where all writing is recorded), and I’m using Jason Cordova’s excellent Labyrinth move for the maze in front of the Archive, and I have a list of riddles that the Guardian of the Archive requires before permitting entry. I’m at a loss, though, as to how to set up the Archive itself. Is it a vast and infinite place filled with floor upon floor of bookshelves, or is it a quaint little library that magically has the book you’re looking for at hand? What kind of custom moves should the Archive have? I’m thinking something that the user would roll on to see if they can find the work they’re looking for. Any thoughts?

A big thank you again to all my players Yoshi Creelman Donogh McCarthy and Jørund Kambestad Lie for my monsterhearts game. I had so much fun with this third session. And hopefully we will continue the fun with many more to come! Sad that David Jay was unable to attend….but more drama awaits Madison the witch when she returns this Saturday and all the characters. If you haven’t checked out the wonderful notes and AP’S that have been written by Donogh McCarthy then here they are. Donogh you can take +1 on your next roll……….. you’re going to need it. (Laughs evilly and goes back to plotting doom.)
