I want to take a minute to give dreams to the entire community and say how inspired I am by all the things we have been able to accomplish. When you lean back and take it all in, the Gauntlet is really something special.
We produce six fantastic podcasts, each of which, outside of planned breaks, are released weekly or bi-weekly without fail.
We have an online gaming calendar that features over 100 sessions per month. And the rate at which those sessions make (meaning they don’t get canceled) is over 95%.
We have, for the last twenty months, released a new PDF issue of a highly-polished magazine on the first of the month, every month, with no release gaps whatsoever (and a 40-page bonus issue in the middle of that regular release schedule).
We successfully organized our first online convention, a weekend event with nearly 100 sessions, 10 different panels, and a fucking writing contest. And, it bears repeating, this was the inaugural edition.
But the thing I’m most proud of, the thing that is most difficult to express with numbers, is our community. Gauntleteers are the best players, the best GMs, the best people. We operate in a space organized around principles of kindness, love, and mutual admiration. We are proof you don’t have to be an asshole, you don’t have to be “controversial,” in order to have an opinion or to get people to listen to you. You can push back against the jaded, cynical nature of the internet and embrace an ethos of good cheer and camaraderie, and in the end, you will be so much happier, so much more content.
Dreams, dreams all around. The Gauntlet excites me and leaves my heart feeling full.
I don’t know if this is a good place to post.

I’m looking for group that plays online PbtA game (e.g. via Discord) and is willing to take new player from eastern Europe. I would like to play in English. I am using English in work daily and I don’t think it’s going to be an issue. My time zone is CET (GMT+1). I have played Dungeon World, Urban Shadows, Apocalypse World. I’ve GM Apocalypse World, Dungeon World and The Sprawl.
If this is not the best place for this post, please point me where should I post it.
Thanks

I know that the game Masks exists, but is there any other Powered By game involving superheroes?

Hi!
Hi!
Are there any play-by-post (on G+) games being organized on the Gauntlet?
I have some hitch for more RPG but lack furiously free time. pbp would be the only solution for me at the moment.
I’ve checked the RSVP site but I think they’re all online hangouts.
We recently added a new reward tier to the Patreon, which has led to some shuffling.
We recently added a new reward tier to the Patreon, which has led to some shuffling. As a result, there are now six spots available at the $7 tier! If you would like to get in on Gauntlet Hangouts games, this is the best way to do it.
Check it out!

CROWDSOURCING
Session Zero 7 is nearly complete, but I need some help generating a list of 50 “interesting features you’ll find in a village”.
Here’s a sample of the type of stuff I’m looking for…
1 a statue near the well that animates to defend the village
2 a dilapidated church on the village outskirts
3 a blind farmer who grows the best crops
4 a painting of an ancient scholar which will answer one question each day
5 an abandoned tower or keep
6 a hanging tree, complete with hangings old and new
If you create a feature I use in the table, you’ll get your name in the credits (inside front cover) of the issue!
Okay so I have this idea, and I just wanted to see if other PbtA players had any thoughts.
Okay so I have this idea, and I just wanted to see if other PbtA players had any thoughts. Remember that old game “killer” it was probably the first LARP I ever player, although I didn’t even know what a LARP was back then. In that game basically you stand in a circle and, if I remember correctly, you look at each other in the eye. If the killer winks at you, you die, but you can’t say anything. You just fall down. The goal is to call out the killer before you die.
Anyway… I was thinking that there has got to be a way to replicate this kind of mechanic. It may be because I’m binge watching Dexter, but I think with a mixture of the high octane emotional content of games like Monster Hearts or Malandros, there must be a way to pull this off. Of course there would be moves involved, not blinking.
I imagine that it would involve something like index cards, or random number generation or something, so that even the MC doesn’t know who the killer is.
I dunno it’s just a thought. Maybe someone else has already managed something like this.
I’m gonna work on it, but I was just wondering if anyone else might think this could be interesting.
It wouldn’t even have to be “killer” it could be any kind of “secret” like a spy game (a la Blindspot).
(and, again, if this isn’t the kind of thing that should be posted here, lemme know and I’ll remove it)

For those that have seen my idea of using an Excel spreadsheet to present module information in a super compact fashion, I’ve prepared a short How-to-Guide video here:

:: How compact? ::
Basically, I’ve taken the collaborative dungeon The Halls Untoward (which spans some 50 pages and about 70 encounters), and essentially condensed it down to 1 page (or I should say 1 screen), and without losing any information.
The idea is that the Spreadsheet Adventure Module is to accompany the .pdf file or hardcopy and not to replace the module.

The Excel file (working copy) can be downloaded from this Dropbox folder:
The PDF file can be downloaded from here:
The hardcopy is cheap as chips from Lulu:
