#rpgaday Day 3: First one I purchased complete was probably Star Frontiers. I can’t remember if I ever actually played a game of it! The first one I actually bought the books and modules for was 1978 Advanced D&D (is that 2nd ed?). My Aunt&Uncle got me the Players Handbook for my birthday in 1981 with the inscription, “We hope you have many hours of enjoyment with this (although it looks pretty weird to us)”.

I just finished playing Swords Without Master with Epidiah Ravachol himself as the Overplayer and 3 other raucous rogues, and it was wonderful in every sense of the word. I was flying through the air rescuing a cat between giant bats and there was a scene where one of us fought a huge sorcerous whale and got spit out the blow-hole. You should join in next time! 8:00 am our time isn’t too bad for a Sunday morning.

Sunday Morning Swords: 3 August 2014

Good morning!

Here’s our organizational thread. Comment below if you’re interested in playing this morning and mention if you’re comfortable being an Overplayer and whether or not you have play Swords before.

When we get an Overplayer and three or four Rogue Players, those players will run off and start their hangout. For now, let’s focus on getting everyone into a group. We’ll probably wait until 9:15 or 9:30 to start the last group. I will be a swing player, jumping in where needed to fill out the final groups so we can make sure we have 3-4 Rogue Players in each group.

Feel free to enjoy some breakfast or brunch while playing. I know I’ll be having some coffee and toast with marmalade, myself.

Also, feel free to use the hashtag #SundayAMSwords should you desire to chat about your game on the social medias.
