It just occurred to me, on top of everything else going on right now in Gauntlet-land, the podcast teams need to start thinking about Favorite Games of 2017.

  1. Not being on the podcast, I will reveal mine, which is still in playtest mode (so I don’t know if that really counts?). It’d be Alex Robert’s Tension, or as some like to call it: “Love Dread”. Got to play at BigBad, and it had so much feels. Mechanics are lovely and evocative, and the two “playbooks” (Lead and Follow) work off of each other in such interesting ways. I was on the verge of tears at one point. Lovely.

  3. Traverser blew my mind – almost literally, because it took an hour to understand what was going on (and caused a slight headache). When it finally clicked it was a revelation. I would love to see how the stories would change in both directions of time and across different realities when played in campaign mode.

  5. Tomer Gurantz I can’t find info about Tension, though I do follow Alex Roberts. Do you have a link to it?

Horst Wurst do you have a link to Traverser?

  7. Yochai Gal The best synopsis I can come up with is: “Ex-soldiers in a Utopian future who can bend reality” but that misses the point completely. The game is still in development so unfortunately there is nothing I can link to.

  9. Yochai Gal Oh, also I don’t think the game itself is posted anywhere in any form. In one sense it’s pretty simple and elegant and I could probably wing some of it from memory (in the form I played it), but I know Alex is doing some tweaking, so will just wait until it arrives in mucho anticipation.
