  1. And Lowell Francis remains the only person who has ever penetrated my mistrust of FATE. I’ll never be convinced, but I can see the arguments, and that has value.

  3. Here’s something Jason Cordova has changed about the way I operate. I no longer review rpg rules unless I’ve played them. I used to do reading reviews, but now I’ll only do that as a super-explicit preview and reaction. Even then, I won’t judge mechanics– just talk about what interests me or hooks me on a read through.

  5. Lowell Francis I try to be really careful when I’m talking about something I’ve read rather than played. The only time I make exceptions there is when I’m talking about modules or setting books (like we do on FoaBD). In that case, I think you can fairly assess the thing with just a read-through, because it’s more like reading a novel.

  7. I encourage everyone to sign up at that $6 level. You get communication with a large group of experienced players and GMs, lots of little conversations to just watch happen, and have things pop onto your radar that you wouldn’t of picked up on otherwise.

this may include Kickstarters and then suddenly you’re backing 5 of them and oh god my wallet.
