Hey Jason Cordova

Hey Jason Cordova

Hey Jason Cordova,

This is a move I want to use in Sword Breaker (my yet unreleased Dungeon World fanzine). I was hoping to get your permission and opinion. The idea is to generate a dungeon crawl that features a villain that keeps coming back in fresh bodies to prevent the party from reaching his throne room.

  1. Anthony Thomas I appreciate that. I thought it would be fun to have a villain that gets harder to fight because he is learning from the party and getting more desperate rather than simply becoming more powerful.

  3. Jason Cordova I really do like the “Hold 1” mechanic for this kind of thing. Navigating a labyrinth, fighting a giant monster, etc. The ability of the PCs to exchange their Hold for resources needed to defeat the situation, but that they also need those Hold to defeat the situation is just deliciously brilliant.
