Had my daughters second birthday party yesterday and the wife and i played some Dungeon World after the guests left. We decided to give “Into The Briarwood” a try. It was allot of fun! Lasted about 2.5 hours.

The big baddie wad Olivander Wickensprout and the quest was for the lost Golden Crystal Chalice. The creature was a 6 legged, mutated one eyed unicorn(we were a bit drunk and tired lol).

So much fun!

  1. We do it with great success. I do advise “rail roading” or preping allot more. There are less people to contribute. Time flies aswell. You can get through twice as much story in the same amount of time.

    We enjoy it

  3. Also, Into the Briarwood uses cards to randimize the land and fill it with awesomeness. Its a big help getting ideas when there is only one player.

We used squares instead of hexes and rolled 2d4 rather than 2d6 when connecting the terrain
