Have we talked about this before?
It’s a question that comes up in my head every week when I narrow down the games I’ve played when preparing for the Gauntlet Recording. We have 67 (counting the latest recording) episodes.
If I were to create a Google spreadsheet to list out all the games mentioned and “reviewed” (we don’t actually review games on the show, but we kinda do), would anyone else be interested in going through the backlog with me and filling out episode information?
Also, it would be cool to track what’s given us life (because sometimes I want to say something like “New Girl”, but then I worry that maybe I already gabbed about that show)
I need an excuse to go way into the back catalogue, so sign me up for a portion!

Do you mean fill in summaries of the record Gauntlet events?

No, I mean to record the games discussed on episodes of the Gauntlet podcast, Luke Green. Sorry it wasn’t clear. Does that make more sense?

Yep, that does.

I would help. I would suggest time stamp, game name, and (optional) short sentence. Like 10:15 | Choose Your Own Adventure | Playing CYOA with serious themes.

Timestamp is useful, too, Ray Otus.
Hey, with Donogh McCarthy, me and you on this, do we want to divvy up what episodes?
(like you suggested in your email)

I think it would be smart. How about increments of five. 1-5 me, 6-10 Richard Rogers, 11-15 Donogh McCarthy. OR we could overlap for accuracy, like 1-10 me, 6-15 Rich, 1-5/11-15 Donogh. The latter way each would get two pairs of ears.

We’ve got 50+ episodes (there are timecodes after that, I think), does overlap seem like too much work for you guys?
I’ve already downloaded 6-10, so I can start there this week.

There’s no deadline, right? We can take a month or three to get through it? What’s reasonable, 5 a week?

no deadline. 5 a week seems reasonable to me.

Sounds good – already got 1-5 downloaded, so I’ll take those this week if that suits ye?

Ok. I’ll take 11-15. Let’s not overlap but we’ll keep track of who did each one. Afterward if we want to overlap we can go back and do episodes we didn’t do before.

At 15 a week (3×5) we’ll get through these in no time.

Wow, this is such a heroic effort!

(it’s no more effort than the hard work you put in time coding the show every week, Jason Cordova. We’re just doing it in reverse.)

The inevitable question. How much of a mention constitutes a mention. For instance, there is a segment I’m listening to where Jason is talking about following all his Kickstarters and he mentions Blades in the Dark – but there’s no discussion of mechanics, play, etc. So I assume that’s NOT something we would record. Right?

Hey guys – obviously much slower than anticipated, but I’ve completed episodes 0-5 now. Doesn’t seem to be much activity on that worksheet; if no one minds, I could keep going with 6-10, or I could stick to 16-20 if you prefer…

Stick to 16-20, I’m off work tomorrow and will get some done on 6-10.

Yeah. I’m slow too. Still have 11-15 to do.
