I remember one of my favorite things from my old D&D days was pouring over the seemingly endless amount of splat books pumped out, looking for interesting new classes and ideas. Things like Angelkite and the ‘World derivatives kinda do the same by introducing new and interesting playbooks, but I have yet to see something that gives me the same feeling come out.

  1. I think there are two distinct types of supplements for DW – hacks and support materials. Hacks include new playbooks, at which point it feels like a derivative game and not a supplement. Angelkite and Dungeon Planet are examples. Things like Perilous Wilds are more strictly support/expansion and feel more like splat books.
