I’d guess most people here already have most of these titles, but I got excited since I’m new to the PbtA world. Hopefully some can use this info.

Fourth World Hack

Fourth World Hack

Fourth World Hack

So we ended up dropping The Veil of the campaign I had. A lot of player rotation and a few other things. It was a blast but our dynamic changed too much. Now we have a new group assembled and we settled on Fourth World, the hack of Dungeon World. (Action Movie World was a close second and will be an interlude game when the one player who doesn’t really feel it is absent) that I really like a lot of the changes too (like aiding, some of the depth and flavor) but also a lot is “out there” and I’m wondering if there’s any advice on how to treat players differently.

I’ve run dungeon world about 11 times and a lot more pbta sessions so that’s par for the course, but are there any good advice touchstones for, say, “naming art” or a different way to approach the story telling?

If it helps, the players are going for a low area type story or one that doesn’t have the world ending stakes. the anime “Konosuba” was a touchstone along stuff like Harvest Moon & and Spiderman Homecoming.

Here is a WIP (Work in Progress) of the DWCK.

Things to do:

Finish the Advances, Spells, Followers tab.

Add a Marketplace tab (equipment)

A note on the MOVES I and MOVES II tabs:

Perceptive readers will note that the moves are not RAW (rules as written)

I used the text from Worlds of Adventures v0.2 as my main source of inspiration because it was clearer and more up to date IMO. No worries, its still the same game mechanically. The biggest changes are fund in the MOVES II Journey Moves section. If you dont like these, just ignore them. 😉 (you can erase or hide a tab by right clicking on it).

The final document should be available in the weeks to come and the file will come with a filled out example.

The document is in read only mode, just make yourself a copy 1st so you can fool around with it:

Not a fan of AP much.

Assume all Gauntlet and Musdirected Mark podcasts covered.

Like economic, science and lexicographic ones.

Lean liberal.

Appreciate non American pov, but still require English (I tried a french rpg podcast, couldn’t track. )

Finally, prefer shorter backlog.

Thanks in advance.

Yesterday during the last session of the Star Wars Saturdays series using Impulse Drive for some Tramp Freighter action, I was talking about a small pocket of young Twi’Leks who were fighting the Empire, but weren’t Rebels.

I made a crack that these young punks (NPCs) were basically in their own game of Misspent Youth (from Robert Bohl).

And now, I need to re-read Misspent Youth to see if I can get it on the SWS calendar. Because that premise is suuuuuper compelling.
