Dark Skull Studios will be doing several demonstrations of both table-top game systems New Gods of Mankind and Anointed: Mantle of the Gods. Everyone is invited and I personally want to me every one of you! More information on the games can be found on our website www.darkskullstudios.com

I will sum up both games here:

New Gods of Mankind is a strategic table-top RPG where you play a New God in a mythic bronze age setting. The rules are quick and allow you create awesome miracles in the blink of an eye. Combat is quick and often is opposed rolls from d4- d100.

Anointed: Mantle of the Gods is our Champions Rules if you want to play heroes in our world instead of gods. The rules are simple and the dice are d4-d12 in small dice pools. The rule system is compatible with our New Gods of Mankind game yet more in depth.

We plan to do 1-2 hour slots so you can get a feel for each system. We will be pulling out all the stops and show off our board game expansion set called Kathonia Adventures….lots of board game pieces, cardstock figures and buildings all ready to go for the adventures. A huge 18-24 map of Kathonia will be on display and we will be running Heroes and Gods versions of the Ostan Crusade Campaign.

Darrell Hardy www.darrellhardy.com will be there to demonstrate Anointed: Mantle of the Gods which he co- wrote. Darrell has worked for Fantasy Flight Games and many other games in the industry.

Adam Schmidt is our Art Director and will be there demonstrating New Gods of Mankind. He has a lot of great artwork that will be on display. www.misteradam.com

Richard Leon the Owner of Dark Skull Studios will be there demonstrating both games and doing whatever it takes to give you a bad ass experience of our game and system.

I’m readIng the rules for Durance in anticipation of our upcoming Sunday game, and I have to say, I am pretty damn impressed so far. First of all, the book is just beautiful. Second, the setting is deeply fascinating. I wish I was half as smart as Jason Morningstar. Gameplay-wise, from what I can tell, it’s a sort of riff on Fiasco, which can only be good. Looking forward to it!

Started work on a mini. Not done, but was getting there. May need a new brush.. Mine have gotten old… 😅

This one saw the party meeting-up on Reaver’s Rock (after surviving a lizard folk attack). The Rock, which is nothing more than three taverns used by pirates as a stop-over, was eerily quiet when they arrived. After doing battle with several of his flesh golems (and looting some pretty terrific magical items, including the Staff of Ignis, the Vainglorious Boots, and the Horn of Nammu), the party discovered their old nemesis, Gormakir, might not be so dead after all. There was also a pretty epic battle with a hydra (pictured below).

The session ended with the party opening a trap door beneath a bar, which led to a basement of some sort.  From this space came a woman’s bloodcurdling cry, along with a creeping sense of dread. We’ll see what they found next session…

pilgrimage to the Temple to No Gods in the distant City of Gulls. My pilgrimage has brought me to the desert of spires, inhabited by the murder cult of the ungod of spiders. My goal is to pass safely through and continue my pilgrimage.

I have the summoning-name of a ghost burned into my memory, and vast and deadly patience.

I’ve been walking for days and I am near the tallest spires in the middle of the desert.

Something warns me of

approaching danger. What warns me? Anyone should answer.

You, my friends online, play the world. Your goal is to see me to my doom, instead of safely on my way. You’re allowed only to directly answer my direct questions, though, so you might not be able to do it.

The rules: 1. Only answer my questions. 2. If you don’t already know the answer, make something up. 3. Keep your answers short. 4. If your answer’s disruptive, I’m allowed to delete it. 5. Otherwise, I have to go with the first answer somebody gives. I’ll +1 it. 6. You may subscribe to this thread if you like. Please use the sentence ‘no gods watch over you’ to do so.
