Here’s a link to Episode 04 of Dungeon World: Domenico Castafiel. At the end of this one, I ask David LaFreniere to supply a poem of “darkness & evil & whatnot.” I know David loves little challenges like that in gaming, and I’ll be curious to hear what he comes up with, but what do you guys think? Do you have any verse about darkness & evil you’d like to share?

I just finished listening to the fifth episode of the Young At Heart Comic Strip AP and it was pretty terrific. YG Mitchell has done some really beautiful sound work on it, and the story he and Fraser Simons are telling is so human, and not so much about baseball as it is about a man at a crossroads in his life, looking back on where he’s come from. It’s just a lovely bit of AP. Here are some links:

And check out the game, too! I have a (largely undeserved, but nonetheless flattering) credit in it, and Oli Jeffery has done a really beautiful layout. http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/198376/Young-At-Heart

Just listened to the newest podcast and I am interested in several of the games mentioned. I cannot find ATLAS RECKONING on line anywhere. Can anyone with better google-fu point me in the right direction? Is the game in actual release yet?

Thanks!

Jason Cordova: on a recent episode of the Gauntlet, you discussed utilizing Graham Walmsley’s Dark Depths to design some Cthulhu Dark scenarios. Do you happen to have any of those written up that you could share? CD is one of my favorite systems, and I’m curious to see this narrative structure in practice.

Dungeon World: Domenico Castafiel 03 is out now! This is a good “process” episode. You get to see how David LaFreniere and I use conversation and collaboration to drive a story forward, we do a little bit of rules talk, and I create a simple custom move on the fly.

Enjoy!

Episode 36 of Discern Realities is here! For our final episode of the year, we decided to do something a little different and have Slade Stolar on to discuss The Indie Hack, his thoughts on Dungeon World, and more!

David LaFreniere and I are really grateful to those of you who have been following the show for the last year. It has been a huge amount of work to produce DR, but the one thing that makes it worth doing is knowing you guys are enjoying it and using it to make your games better. We’ve made a huge number of friends in the last year and been involved in some really cool conversations, and none of it would be worth doing without that.

Cc: Michael G. Barford and Will P. (who I can’t tag for some reason).

Enjoy!

Jason (or any of the Gauntlet crew), in one of your podcasts I remember a game being mentioned wherein the players were the skeletal sentinels of a lords tomb the progress of which involved remembering their duty, past glory etc. or sinking into oblivion as they cycled through “sleep” and activity defending the tomb. If that is an accurate recollection, then what is the name of that game?
