Yoon-Suin is a fantastic setting book, and Tom McGrenery and I cover all the bases of the Yellow City portion of the text, as well as have a terrific discussion about Orientalism in games. I think you’re going to like it a lot.

It’s so fun to watch Rach break down three Urban Fantasy RPGs by their principles and see how it affects choices for an MC and also the players. I’m so thrilled to have Rach on board this show, her analysis has elevated the show. Before Rach, I would never have had the confidence to have a single topic discussion on PbtA, but she’s just so sharp at this stuff, I can’t help but follow along and chat with her.

Kamal’s the designer of The Dig, a story game of Dwarven miners based on his novel, HOMES. I’m always curious about how people prepare for a KS project so we talk about that and the process of creating HMTM. We also talk biker gangs, what heavy metal means to him, and issues of faith. I had a great time recording this and I hope you dig it.
