My yearly order to Lulu is in. I missed the 20% coupon earlier in the month (I think?) but nabbed the 15% and free shipping ones just now. All in all, I saved almost $50 CAD using them; not the worst!

Finally got round to actually joining this space, very happy to be here!

I wanted to consult you all on something – could you recommend any good one-shots for a new-ish roleplaying group, ideally in the PBtA space?

I’m currently running a pretty large-scale Dungeon World campaign for some friends who had never roleplayed before we started back in Feb. One of the players is going away for a bit and I wanted to take the opportunity to broaden our collective RPG horizon, but all the games I own/know of are longer form and I don’t want to start a campaign within a campaign…

So, this last weekend’s City of Mist game was a bit less successful than the one before, and most of that falls on my head for blanking when it came to a sort of mind control to apply for talking to their first plot giver, Zoe Vitale. I had her reinforcing the belief they already had and it threw the players off completely and stalled the game for a few minutes. In retrospect I should have had her produce a belief that she was unimportant. There were a couple of other points where circumstances got a bit gummed up, but the game moved along.

Regardless, the game is moving on again. My case is running into a 4th session and next case will be on Kelsey’s player’s head. Since we’re down to two GMs we’re talking about having our PCs more active during our own cases so that our characters can interact with each other a little.
