Every now and then a terrible pun streak breaks out on our Slack, like today:

Me: The Codex – Iron miscellany is the toughest one yet in terms of choosing which ones make the cut. There are so many good ones!

Ferrell: You could say it takes an iron will to make those cuts.

Dylan: Not a bad problem to have. More of a wrinkle, really. I’m sure you’ll get it ironed out.

Ferrell: You could take all the entries, put them in a circle, and use a spinner to decide. I think it’s fair to use a ferrous wheel.

Christo: Watch out for irony, that will be next…

Dylan: Ore will it?

Dylan (later): If Iron Man and Silver Surfer team up, would they be alloys?

Dylan (later): Iron puns are iffy (editor’s note: this one is actually really subtle and good)

Christo: Don’t worry, these iron puns will die out.

Dylan: We’re wrought with iron puns!

An observation: Canadians are taking over The Gauntlet. Someone needs to get us a version of the logo with a maple leaf!

I’m super-excited Fraser Simons is going to be on the new episode of The Gauntlet Podcast. Fraser has a lot of interesting things to say about cyberpunk, but I think we can all agree this video is the best cyberpunk.

Dreams for the Gauntlet creators!

I recently did an interview about our Patreon, and one of the questions was “Who is ‘the Gauntlet?'” I immediately realized it was not an easy question to answer. But I’ve been thinking about it, and I have come to this conclusion: the Gauntlet, in part, is a community of creators. We create entertainment, we create art, we create community.

At any given time, there are dozens of people creating something for the Gauntlet, and I want to give dreams to some of those people…
