Greetings and salutations!

Greetings and salutations!

Greetings and salutations! I’m a long time fringe Gauntleteer. I have finally gotten settled in, after multiple moves, and have landed out in Seattle. I have been dying to get a game going again but my regular crew is all out in the mid-west and the time zone shift makes getting my old table going pretty much impossible (they seem to be mostly into board/card/minis out here). So, that brings me to the point that if I want to get something going, I need to go where the players are. Would one of you lovely people point me to the onboarding process for potential GMs? I would like to get a regular Tuesday game slot rolling now that my life has become more stable. Thanks in advance for your help and patience.

  1. As a long time Gauntlet podcast lurker, who is also possibly interested in DMing, how strict is the prerequisite to have played actual games with the Gauntlet prior to hosting one? Everything in my available time slots is always booked.

  3. So for new GMs we ask that they have played a couple of regular Gauntlet sessions with us. That’s to give them a chance to see and understand the Gauntlet’s play culture. As important, its a modest check on someone’s ability to commit and be consistent.

I really encourage everyone who wants to play to put their names on Waitlists. For November, about 1/3 of my players had originally been on the waitlist and moved up. You’ll also note that sessions can be posted from two months to a minimum of two weeks out, so you’ll see new events going up for a particular month going up for a long time. If you’re in less covered timezone, like ASPAC or Europe, consider posting here and asking about GMs in those timezones. We have communities of interest which have formed there, and they’ve been good about getting people into sessions.
