Indulgent post warning:

The Chimaeracast is going to do a little discussion/debrief episode recording tonight to talk about how our actual play podcast is going and what we hope to do in the future. Since we’ve already recorded the end out my arc and now each of the 4 members has run a series, we wanted to have an episode to reflect. This is more than anything me reaching out to see if any of you fine folk who might happen to listen to our podcast or just have a vast wealth of AP podcast knowledge have any questions, concerns, or suggestions. By all means, this post might just fly under the radar, but I wanted to put something out there just in cast because I love this community’s great feedback and well articulated thoughts every time I open the G+.

I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Also, the episode is going to be called “The Dragon’s Den” which I really enjoy 🙂

  1. Jason Cordova Oh, I wanted to keep it broad so people didn’t feel like they “needed” to come up with overly sophisticated questions if they just wanted to give a passing thought or comment. However, I would love to hear feedback, personally, about a couple of things: 1. How the flow of the game is / does the table talk speak to you as a listener. Would more smoothing out (less talking about moves) make for a better story or do you enjoy our discussion of mechanics and how they are implemented. This kind of feedback I think helps me understand what type of listeners we have, like GMs, players, or folks who just want a story 2. does the basic story structure (I’m speaking to the Mini Arcs and rotating DMs that we have and the over world that could bring affecting/effecting elements weaving back into play as systems for short term and long term storytelling) engage you as a listener. 3. Does Dungeon World sustain you as a listener or would you like us to try other stuff like the C-Sides we experimented with? 4. Are there things we are missing generally or acutely that you would like to see. We are still getting our sea legs as far as podcasting goes and I would love to be listening to the people who dedicate their ears and time to us. I think we aren’t a totally sophisticated podcast as far as speaking to greater social issues or anything beyond just having good play and trying to tell an honest story, but that doesn’t mean I don’t strive to be a stronger member of the TTRPG community on the whole. Hopefully that helps! just kind of throwing some things out there!
