Really great, Richard Rogers and Rach Shelkey.
Regarding banking hard moves, if you have something perfect, but the reveal feels like it would be a tiny bit too early, do you recommend hinting at offscreen badness or some other approach?

Vincent Eaton 100% Reveal / hint at offscreen badness. Which can threaten/hurt PC allies and hurt/scare folks.

So happy to get my Rach & Rich fix! This is fantastic! I loved the examples of forcing yourselves to switch to another move. Rach’s “be obvious” insight was awesome!

Yes this was golden! I’m thinking about using offscreen scenes when advancing Fronts. “Meanwhile, and although this is completely out of your characters perceptions: ….”

One of the best episodes of any Gauntlet podcast over the past couple months. Such an important and helpful discussion. Thanks Rach & Rich!

I loved this episode as well! I’ve had mixed feelings about banking hard moves when I’ve done it, but what are your thoughts on making your MC move off screen? For instance, the big bad gets some new information about the PCs, or finishes that extra devious device, sets that extra trap, etc.

I’m only just catching up with +1 Forward and reaches this episode. When I’d run Masks for a few sessions and realised I’d not touched some MC moves I started making an MC achievement list which had tick boxes for moves I’d not used before and a couple of plot seeds I wanted to plant. Having achievement lists present on the table in front of me really helped me remember some fun moves so I don’t default to the basics.
