Any old school or Texas-based Gauntleteers know of game related or adjacent things to do around Dallas and Austin?

Any old school or Texas-based Gauntleteers know of game related or adjacent things to do around Dallas and Austin? I’m visiting for the first time next week.

  1. There are a few of us in Austin. We don’t have much in the way of public or regular games going on right now but we meet up for games every so often. Adding: David A. Powers James Shields Karlen Kendrick

  3. For Dallas, Common Grounds is good, also Generation X in Bedford if you’re closer to the mid-cities, or Madness Games and Comics out in Plano – they recently moved to a MUCH larger location, and are now located in an old grocery store.

Also, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that the original Half Price Books is in Dallas at 75 and Northwest Highway – it’s literally the size of a Walmart and has a good sized rpg section. All of the HPBs do, really, and there are a ton of them in DFW. You could probably spend a day just driving around the metropolex and still not make it to all of them.

    Have fun!
