Writing Contest Finalists!

I am delighted to present the finalists for the Keepers of the Gauntlet Writing Contest! We had thirty entries in total. The following six will be sent along to the judges:

Ash & Bone (DW)

The Blue Masquerade (DW)

The Giant’s Many Pallbearers (OSR)

Lies of the Child Kingdom (OSR)

The Rootless Forest (DW)

The White Kettle Estuary (DW)

Here is a link to all the entries. Take a look and feel free to discuss in the comments. Overall, the entries were exceptionally good. We had a tough time narrowing it down.

  1. Cool! Congrats guys. Managed to read a few of these in the gauntlet slack while they were in development. Lies of the Child Kingdom, in particular, struck my fancy!! Mine isn’t a finalist, but check it out if you’re into a shrinkray “giant” forest and “giant” forest creatures adventure (The Thousand Year Cocoon). (Logan Howard & Ray Otus. I’m gonna work on it more and create illustrations for a zine! πŸ™‚

  5. Yes, please do Lu Quade! I want to see that! I read all of the finalists. Some were better formatted and more complete/playable than others, but I got cool ideas from ALL of them. Not once did I think “I would never play this.” Quite the opposite. There’s always room for more ideas that are expressed with creativity and heart.
