Anyone got a suggestion on what tool I should use for online play to model my game’s Struggle map?

The map itself is in an image below. The trick is, as we play, we’re going to need to drop chips that are individualized to each player (e.g., I’ve got black, you’ve got red, she’s got blue).

Anyone got a suggestion for how to pull this off?

  1. You could make them cells in a Google sheet and change the background color of the cells according to the assigned chip colors. Or if you know how to use Roll 20 but I don’t.

  3. If you want to use Roll20 … use that image as the background map and then give each player control of a unique token. The players can copy and paste new versions of their unique token if more than one is required. I can set up an example version for you very quickly if you like.

  5. I’d second using rollforyour.party – alternatively an online sharing whiteboard could work alright. I used Ziteboard for this kind of thing.
