After a short hiatus, I’m pleased to present Episode 47 of Discern Realities! In this deluxe episode, we are joined by some special guests: Stephen Karnes, the winner of our Shrine Contest, and the runners-up, Logan Howard and Daniel Fowler. We talk about their entries in the contest, the Wizard’s Ritual move, pitfalls when running the game for new players, Brian Holland’s Session Zero zine, and more!

Enjoy!

  1. Can’t wait to listen. Thanks so much to everyone involved, it was really fun to do. I’m picking up Cthulhu Confidential with the gift card to play with my partner. Ya’ll are the best!

  3. I absolutely loved this episode; it’s productions like these that made me a backer in the first place. Specifically, the GM discussion around new player foibles was very helpful – I run a twice-monthly “introductory” game with folks from the local Meetup I started months back, and the experience the three of you imparted was invaluable!

Also, cheers to Logan Howard and Brian Holland for putting out great DW product month after month!

  5. Jason CordovaDavid LaFreniere Guys, I really liked the guest hosts/shrine winners. I also really liked the Phil Vecchione episode as well. In short, I think having guest hosts (for even one or two segments) is great and I hope you do more of it.

Have you ever had Jason Lutes on?
