Zombie World is based off The Walking Dead. It’s still in playtest but I had a chance to play it at Dreamation and it is really cool.

AW is flexible enough to do a Walking Dead, you’d need to build some custom moves for zombie hoards and individuals, how a PC or NPC can be infected, protected areas with countdown clocks, and the like.
Tonally, the playbooks aren’t suited to a Walking Dead setting, though. You’d need to squint and ignore a bunch of flavor text, make some decisions about the default AW setting bits vs. a Walking Dead setting: is there a psychic maelstrom? does the Angel have that weird med kit?

Alberto Martin del Campo Sola I always had trouble with zombies because they are a plot device not characters the players can interact with. Grotesques have personalities an RP potential. The drama in a zombie story comes from people interacting with each other in the stressful world where zombies exist.
