I was asked to run a session of Dungeon World this morning with zero prep just after waking up and thanks to Jason Cordova’s labyrinth move the dungeon crawl went pretty well! It was my first time trying the move after hearing about it on Discern Realities months ago, so I was pumped to give it a shot, and it did not disappoint! Thanks to the DR guys for sharing!

  1. Awesome! Yeah, the Labyrinth Move has taken on a life of its own. It even inspired some mechanics in one of the new Mutant Chronicles books. I expect it will be my one lasting contribution to the hobby, haha.

  3. That labyrinth move can be so useful for filling in areas of your run you haven’t figured out. It puts so much of “what happens next” in the hands of the players and the dice. You just sit back and watch.

Also, if your friends are ambushing you immediately after waking up and demanding you GM for them, you might need new friends.
