I have a PbtA game in development, Infinite Galaxies, that is very close to being finished, and I’d like to have the folks at the Gauntlet play and review it. What’s the best way to do this?

  1. Infinite Galaxies is a sci-fi game that models many different settings and characters. The game comes with a default setting, Star Patrol, that is set in our universe, albeit many years in the future. There are 8 playbooks – the Ace, the Explorer, the Jack, the Leader, the Psi, the Robot, the Scientist, and the Soldier. Each playbook has 3 sets of starting packages, allowing you to customize your character right away.

I’ve been developing Infinite Galaxies for almost 3 years. I’ve run the game around 60 times for various sets of players, including Origins 2015 and 2016 (and upcoming at Origins 2017).

My plan is to complete the draft of the manuscript in April and do the Kickstarter in June.

I can provide whatever materials you may need to run the game. Let me know.

  3. I should also point out that several members of this community have played Infinite Galaxies already. In addition, I am working with another designer Steve Wallace, who created No Country for Old Kobolds, which I believe was reviewed on +1 Forward. Steve is not an official developer for Infinite Galaxies, but he has definitely contributed to the game in many ways.

  5. +Bill White ran IG at Dreamation a few times. I know he recorded the session i was in. There may be AP of that on Virtual Play to come. At least worth keeping an eye on it re padding your pending kickstarter.

  7. Sounds very interesting. How would you describe it compares to Uncharted Worlds and Impulse Drive?

(I’m less familiar with ID; two obvious differences to UW seem to be IG’s playbooks as well as the included setting).

  9. I want to bump this again, mainly because I never really got a response to my original inquiry about getting the crew to playtest it and review it on the podcast. Let me know what materials and information you need from me.
