I could not find a good tabletop version of Guild Wars 2, so I converted it to my favorite, Dungeon World. I have just finished what is essentially the first “draft” of the playbooks, and I’m looking for feedback. There are 8 playbooks in total. 2 of them, the Thief and the Ranger, are essentially just taken from Dungeon World and given some flavor adjustments. 2 of them, the Guardian and the Warrior, are based on Dungeon World classes but given extensive reworks. The remaining 4 are completely new to Dungeon World and are not based on any base Dungeon World classes.

I would love to get some feedback for this, especially if you are able to playtest it or would be interested in playtesting it.

  1. I only have time to read a bit now, but the engineer’s kit has a couple things I would change. The first, in order to abstract the kit, I don’t think it should spend a use on a 10+. It has a choice to lose one on 7-9, I think that’s good enough, it makes it more like volley and ammo. Also, the “Cutting Edge Tech” disadvantage would probably sound better fictionally as “Prototype”. It comes with more of a “this thing might malfunction” connotation. I hope to look through this more later, so if I find more I’ll post again 🙂
