Codex is looking for a new cover artist!

We are looking for a new artist to be featured on the cover of the next six issues of Codex (Iron, Madness, Time, Neon, Crystal, and Joy)!

I am super-grateful for Dirk Detweiler Leichty’s help getting Codex off the ground; his cover images have been a major part of establishing the overall look and vibe of the zine. We want the next artist to be able to bring their own unique, cohesive look to the cover, while still highlighting each issue’s theme.

Here are some details:

-Cover images are black & white, plus a single color that defines that particular issue.

-We pay $50 for being able to use the image on the cover of Codex, plus any future Codex-related publications or promotions (such as a compilation of issues).The only exclusivity we ask for is the image not be used for any other gaming product. The artist is otherwise free to do what they wish with the image.

-Each cover image should be delivered on the 20th of the month preceding the month of publication (the first image, for Codex – Iron, will be due 03.20.17).

-Payment is made via Paypal shortly after delivery.

-The artist should be able to complete the work with minimal input from us. We are interested in the artist expressing their own creative vision based off the issue’s theme.

Importantly, we’re looking for someone with a distinctive style.
