In the near future, I will be hosting a local open table with World of Dungeons. What should I do to get the most out of the system? (I will be using flags and the die of fate and am open to suggestions on how to best use those as well)

  1. Flags are a good move. I have a lot of fun with the Die of Fate and roll it often. I usually roll it openly, because it creates a nice moment of agony (or relief) at the table when the players enter a new situation. I’m not sure how familiar you are with Dungeon World, but if you don’t have experience with either, I would recommend starting with Dungeon World. Dungeon World is significantly easier to run than World of Dungeons, because the moves are right there doing the work. World of Dungeons is a terrific system, but you have to be comfortable with a high amount of improvisation, or be willing to make lots of custom moves on the fly.
