Launch week for Comic Strip AP continues with Tim B and Noah Jay-Bonn’s first session of Dogs in the Vineyard by Vincent Baker!

There is some lovely RP in this one, and I am particularly fond of Noah’s subtle musical cues that begin during certain tense moments. They have a synth-y, Clockwork Orange-esque vibe, and they really add an emotional punch.

I’m excited to see where this one goes!

  1. Jason Cordova (or anyone) – what is the conceptual difference between Comic Strip AP and Pocket-Sized Play? I haven’t had a chance to listen to either yet, but they seem like rather similar ideas.

  3. Saul Alexander They’re quite different. PSP is 3+ participants playing for 2-3 hours and then editing down to about 30 minutes. Comic Strip AP is just like the AP on Discern Realities: two people play for 15 minutes a week, and then edit down to 10-15 minutes per episode.

  5. Jason Cordova Cool. That’s kind of what I guessed, but they do look very similar from the outside. There’s no specific reason why a comic strip (by definition) would only feature a single character, for example. This is not necessarily a problem, just an observation.
