Post Your Kickstarter Links Here!

We are fully in the throes of Kickstarter season. I appreciate you guys not flooding the page with KS posts. However, I would like to hear what looks interesting to you.

Please put one KS recommendation in the comments to this post, why you’re supporting it, and a link to the campaign.

My recommendation is Perseverant by Ben Dutter. Our community has had good fun with his other game, Belly of the Beast, and I really like the theme of this one, which is wilderness survival. Here is a link:

Which campaign do you recommend?

  1. I’m with you on Perseverant. Love the theme, love the art, like the sound of the mechanics and the stretch goals sound great. I appreciate his no frills approach to the Kickstarter and the fact he’s solidly delivered in the past. Plus Belly of the beast sounds great and I’m glad you’ve recommended it Jason Cordova because now I’m definitely getting and running it!

  3. I only have two backed projects still undergoing the funding cycle, and this is my favorite of the two, an OSR underworld setting from the guy who does Dungeon Dozen (link below). I feel kind of weird saying this is my fave because the other (Eden) is way more original. There have been lots of these OSR setting books. But hell, it just looks so good; very “Clark Ashton Smith.” https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/804120043/operation-unfathomable

  5. I don’t have a recommendation right now, but I want to say that this topic is a great idea!

I really hope that it will be a recurring thing (maybe a new topic every month or so) and I wouldn’t mind those kickstarters being mentioned on the podcast.

  7. Gattaibushido:FUSION! Mecha Pilot RPG: A story-driven RPG about badass mecha pilots who combine into totally sweet ultimate robos and save Humanity from Big Giant Monsters. “Cause Motobushido was awesome, the designer knows his stuff, and he’s got the playtest rules up on the main page for anyone to check out. http://kck.st/2d3XHZk

  9. The Frost Papers: 10 Games to Play in the Dark. A little bit LARP, a little bit ritual, a little bit seance. I pointed this out to Jason Cordova earlier because it reminded me of his discussions of Society of Dreamers from previous podcasts. I backed it because I just like weird stuff, and hey, 10 games for $10. They also have a link to where you can get the first of the 10 games free on DriveThruRPG.

WARNING: There’s only 10 hours left to back this one.

  11. Ugh. Made a promise to myself to not back anything I won’t play in the next 12 months… Either I’ve got to play more, or that promise stands to be broken…

  13. Eadwin Tomlinson I’m right there with you. So far, I’m up to Perseverant, Operation Unfathomable, Home By Dark, and The Frost Papers. I’m interested in Ghost Court, but I just have no idea when I would ever be able to play it. I’ll eventually back Bluebeard’s Bride, but I have to think a bit on the different levels.

  15. Perseverant, Eden, Follow, Home by Dark and now Frost papers – I’ll probably end up with Bluebeards and Dialect. Add to that the discovery of Belly of the beast and it means I’ll be eating beans until Christmas. I’m a bit scared to check out Ghost Court too…. 😨
