Post Your Kickstarter Links Here!
We are fully in the throes of Kickstarter season. I appreciate you guys not flooding the page with KS posts. However, I would like to hear what looks interesting to you.
Please put one KS recommendation in the comments to this post, why you’re supporting it, and a link to the campaign.
My recommendation is Perseverant by Ben Dutter. Our community has had good fun with his other game, Belly of the Beast, and I really like the theme of this one, which is wilderness survival. Here is a link:

Which campaign do you recommend?
Ghost Court, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bullypulpitgames/ghost-court
It’s a silly party game/larp about ghosts going to court for ghost-related civil complaints. I designed it so I probably shouldn’t shill it too hard, but if you like ghosts and court and fun you will enjoy Ghost Court.

Ben Robbins’ Follow https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lamemage/follow-0
Because Microscope, Kingdom, and Microscope: Explorer are all excellent games, and Follow should be too – it’s designed to be easier for newbies and follow a group of people on some sort of quest…. mission…. thing….

I’m with you on Perseverant. Love the theme, love the art, like the sound of the mechanics and the stretch goals sound great. I appreciate his no frills approach to the Kickstarter and the fact he’s solidly delivered in the past. Plus Belly of the beast sounds great and I’m glad you’ve recommended it Jason Cordova because now I’m definitely getting and running it!

Bluebeard’s Bride. It’s PbtA that has mechanics for the feminine horror genre. Players all personify the bride of Bluebeard who is learning more about their husband as they traverse their husbands house.
I doubt people haven’t seen it yet, but with the stretch goals there’s getting to be even more value. What’s more is shipping to Canada was only 12$ for all the things!

MASHED

It’s PbtA, but it is a social/medical drama and I’m fascinated by how it will handle the medical aspects of the game in a way that will allow players without a medical degree to feel engaged.

Want a little more hippie in your hippie game? I’d plug Eden:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1802720588/eden-5
“Eden is [an RPG] about learning what it means to be human. You’ll collaborate to create the setting and then role-play scenes as talking animals and human characters, ultimately weaving a narrative of exploration, self-discovery, and personal growth.”

City of Mist! I haven’t played it yet, but the campaign is really solid, and it’s great to see more new voices added to the PbtA community. I’m excite.

I only have two backed projects still undergoing the funding cycle, and this is my favorite of the two, an OSR underworld setting from the guy who does Dungeon Dozen (link below). I feel kind of weird saying this is my fave because the other (Eden) is way more original. There have been lots of these OSR setting books. But hell, it just looks so good; very “Clark Ashton Smith.” https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/804120043/operation-unfathomable

Having playtested Perseverant, I can attest that it is a really well designed and incredibly fun game to play!

Jason Cordova Doh! If only I could delete it, but you know, the internet is made of pens.

I don’t have a recommendation right now, but I want to say that this topic is a great idea!
I really hope that it will be a recurring thing (maybe a new topic every month or so) and I wouldn’t mind those kickstarters being mentioned on the podcast.

Gattaibushido:FUSION! Mecha Pilot RPG: A story-driven RPG about badass mecha pilots who combine into totally sweet ultimate robos and save Humanity from Big Giant Monsters. “Cause Motobushido was awesome, the designer knows his stuff, and he’s got the playtest rules up on the main page for anyone to check out. http://kck.st/2d3XHZk

Home By Dark hasn’t gotten quite as much traction as a lot of the high profile KS campaigns, but it looks good. It’s got a Stranger Things / E.T. vibe that I’m digging. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1968914586/home-by-dark-a-story-game-of-hope-and-fear/description

The Frost Papers: 10 Games to Play in the Dark. A little bit LARP, a little bit ritual, a little bit seance. I pointed this out to Jason Cordova earlier because it reminded me of his discussions of Society of Dreamers from previous podcasts. I backed it because I just like weird stuff, and hey, 10 games for $10. They also have a link to where you can get the first of the 10 games free on DriveThruRPG.
WARNING: There’s only 10 hours left to back this one.

Ugh. Made a promise to myself to not back anything I won’t play in the next 12 months… Either I’ve got to play more, or that promise stands to be broken…

So… I know the idea was for current Kickstarters, but I’m super excited for Dialect, http://www.thornygames.com/dialect-rpg, which is launching on Wednesday.

Eadwin Tomlinson I’m right there with you. So far, I’m up to Perseverant, Operation Unfathomable, Home By Dark, and The Frost Papers. I’m interested in Ghost Court, but I just have no idea when I would ever be able to play it. I’ll eventually back Bluebeard’s Bride, but I have to think a bit on the different levels.

Perseverant, Eden, Follow, Home by Dark and now Frost papers – I’ll probably end up with Bluebeards and Dialect. Add to that the discovery of Belly of the beast and it means I’ll be eating beans until Christmas. I’m a bit scared to check out Ghost Court too…. 😨

I’ve already put something up but I know there’s more like one from BWHQ… never mind that ones already closed (edited for realizing it’s already over).

More excited than I really should be about Upwind, for reasons I can’t explain. (Also for Salt in Wounds, but it doesn’t really need the publicity.)

I Kickstart mostly board games. Here’s really nice looking card game for two, each taking the sides of Britain and France in the mid-1700’s as they try to bring the whole world into their wars. The art is fantastic and if you are a history nut, you might like. I just pledged this week.
