Just wanted to thank YG Mitchell Richard Rogers and David LaFreniere for helping me a lot with playtesting Young at Heart. I’m revising a couple things and putting in an alternate way of play that will really hit home with storygamers while also keeping the initial setup for new gamers. I think its going to be really great. I am naming the storygamer setup as “Taking the training wheels off”, tickles me a little. It’s going to jump into the meat of the thing and give the players all the agency as to the stakes of the story. Pretty stoked to playtest that one tomorrow!

David and Richard were such fantastic players tonight and Youan was unreal with the 1v1 game. Hank Crinshaw was a loveable asshole and Jamal Jackson was fantastic and very much less of an asshole, anyways I digress. I just can’t get across how helpful playtesting is, it earns you my undying gratitude. Thanks so very much!

  1. I’d love to hear more about last night’s session and the new revisions. It was really fun to play and there’s so much potential in the framework you came up with.

You really…knocked it out the park with this one

  3. Christopher Sniezak Sure is! Everyone plays the Pitcher, players frame scenes as flashbacks both in order to answer some over arching questions in the now as well as fill in the life story of the Pitcher in the past. I’ve got Juan Ochoa doing artwork and Oli Jeffery on layout! Super excited about it!

YG Mitchell I will send you the edited version tomorrow morning, almost done but need to sleep.
