What was the first tabletop game you played with your child(ren)? At what age?

  1. My answer: My first official game with my boys was Dungeon World (basically with Rich’s +1 to every roll rules). They were about 3. I had played story games with them at age 2 just using the rule of cool.

  3. A two-player hack of Shadows by Zak Arntson. He was around 7. It has some great ideas and we really embraced the part where the player comes up with stakes before the roll.

We transitioned to World of Dungeons Lite after a while and that’s what we’ve been doing most of the time. With a big dose of rule of cool of course.

  5. I was finally able get my son and his friends together when they turned 13 to play 1st Edition AD&D. They’ve been playing in an ongoing campaign now for 3 years and I’ve inducted two of the teens into the ranks of being DM’s now.
