Codex – Ectoplasm

Codex – Ectoplasm

Codex – Ectoplasm

The third issue of Codex is called Ectoplasm. It will feature:

-Huge Problems in Little Shanghai, a Monster of the Week mystery by myself.

-The Ghost, a playbook for The Sprawl by Oli Jeffery

-Five Haunted Magic Items for Dungeon World

-A miscellany (topic tbd).

If you’re interested in submitting some ghosty magic items for Dungeon World, please do so to gauntletpodcast@gmail.com.

I have a few nascent ideas for the miscellany, but I’m open to suggestions on that.

Update on Codex – Chrome

I’m pushing the release of Codex – Chrome to coincide with our Patreon’s launch, probably late September/early October.

Here is what we’ll have:

chome_rot.exe, a campaign starter for The Sprawl by Fred Bednarski.

Eleven science-fantasy elements for Dungeon World

Miscellany: Three-dozen pieces of cosmetic cyberware.

Art from Dirk Detweiler Leichty Gennifer Bone Allan Dotson

We still need three pieces of art for Chrome, and I’ll be reaching out to some folks about that soon.

Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick Codex update (for the five of you paying attention, haha).

  1. Jason Cordova  I’ve been playing around with doing some drawing as I re-awaken my RPG interest. If you’d like to take a look with the idea of getting some free artwork for your codex series let me know and I’ll send you some samples or share them or post them here.

  3. Chris Shorb I’m doing my best to pay for the larger text submissions, too (campaign starters and adventures). 5 cents per word, which is not the most competitive rate, but it’s better than what people make writing Shadowrun modules! If the Patreon is successful, I’ll work out some kind of program for the smaller submissions, too (magic items and stuff).
