A thought…
The Gauntlet has been able to accomplish a lot in just 3 years. Four podcasts, a HUGE online gaming calendar, a fanzine, and several local Meetups. We have managed to do all of that with barely a whisper of presence at gaming conventions.
But now the table is nearly set and I’m ready to head out there. I think next year is going to be a really good one for us.
Do you think you guys will hit Games on Demand at Gencon for the big 50th anniversary in 2017?

What about a Brigadecon, Aethercon, or Virtuacon presence?

Or GauntletCon. Our table is set for others to grab a seat! 😉 Kidding, not kidding.

Tim B Ooo. I might even go to Houston for GauntletCon.

Tim BÂ GauntletCon is an interesting idea. Back in the very early days, we used to talk about doing something like that, but it seemed really far-fetched. I suppose it’s something that is a little more realistic now.

Jason Cordova It would be great to meet the Gauntleteers (mmm, sounds like we are punk Mouseketeers…) in the flesh.

If the Gauntlet has a con presence, I might finally go to a con.
Also, if GauntletCon happened, I’d pack up my little Prius with as many Rubber City Gauntleteers as would fit and drive to wherever.

It’s funny, but I felt like I was representing The Gauntlet in a way at Gen Con. I mentioned the podcasts a lot, I know.

Ray Otus That’s awesome! I definitely appreciate that.

I’ld love to see a Gauntlet splinter group in my home town of Baltimore, Maryland.

Jason Cordova It’d be interesting to shift a week of Gauntlet Hangouts programming into a Virtual GauntletCon that could be repped outside the community on RPG.net, Reddit, etc. We have an admirable infrastructure right there that could get a lot of attention.

Steven Warble I think there is something along those lines, right River Williamson?

Tim B I guess I’m curious what would make it a ‘con?’ Like, how would it be different than what we already do each week? Would we do panels and stuff, too?

Jason Cordova Yeah, some easy to access or hot ‘n happenin games, a couple panels, a designer Q&A—stuff we already have at our fingertips.

Jason Cordova And a virtual bar/meeting area of some sort for people to socialize. 😉
