I’ve been fiddling around with Super Friends!

I’ve been fiddling around with Super Friends! for awhile. The idea is to get on Hangouts once a week and just talk about some RPG stuff. Here is a link to last week’s, which we recorded.

I like how it turned out. The premise of the conversation was to complete the sentence “I’m looking forward to…” and to talk about an upcoming RPG-related thing we are presently excited about. In fact, that simple premise led to some good, wide-ranging conversation (as you can see from the time codes).

Thanks to the participants: Lowell Francis Timothy Bennett Chris Wiegand steven watkins and Robert Ruthven (briefly).

  1. Thanks so much for backing guys! I’ve actually over hauled the playbooks and I’m alllllmost halfway done copy editing the main text now. And worked in the Wayward to the main set of playbooks (with artwork, which is amazing), and incorporated Jason Cordova suggestions actually – which was very helpful. Thank you for that!

It really does mean a lot that anyone backed it, and then the extra kind words really did mean a lot so, again thank you!

I hope you guys will like the Veil, it’s safe to say it’s very different then what’s out there. I’ve got a community for it set up, so you can check that out if you find it interesting. But it really is different, the other day I was thinking you could really do Dream of the endless (from Sandman Vertigo’s famous Comic run) the cyberpunk version. It is a light sandbox setting so pretty toolbox like but the mechanics are pretttty different. Hopefully people dig it.

I was asked to play in a one shot playtest broadcasted on Twitch, so that might help people get an idea of how it differs. I also wouldn’t mind running something or playing in something for people in this community. Only problem is I generally work evenings and only have Sundays off. So maybe mornings or when my schedule gets less intense?

  3. Really enjoyed this. I never get to join because of the timing so it was nice to hear what gets discussed. I was talking to my brother about my desire to know more about Fae stuff in order to run them better so I’ll definitely check out Changeling.
