  1. Holy crap, I thought they were joking when they said it was the 70th expansion, but it’s really the 70th expansion.  MtG has some impressive longevity.

  3. I remember when Magic first came out, TSR released a CCG based on Dungeons & Dragons. At the time I thought “Well, Magic is cool, but this D&D card game is going to be the big thing,” and so that’s where I spent my money. Boy, was I wrong about that one.

  5. Pretty sure I’ve still got a ton of blood wars cards in the bottom of my closet. I think I played it like once or twice, but the art was fantastic.

  7. Daniel Lewis​ Jason Cordova​ My friends and I played a ton of Spellfire (and MtG when it first came out) but eventually we found a couple card combos that lead to infinite churning which basically broke the game for everyone. After that it was Legend of the Five Rings mostly.
