  1. That was a really fun contest! Congrats to the winners. Those were very cool items.

My heart sank when I got to the end of this episode because I’m now completely caught up with both podcasts. Now I have to wait for each episode to hit.

Thank you for giving me life for the last few weeks. I have tried to give you a five star rating on iTunes but it seems to expect me to have iTunes installed. Is there any way around that?

  3. Jason Cordova, Is there a way for these items to be spread out further?

I am envisioning a deck of cards from Drive Thru Cards that is print on demand.

There were about 40 items, so a few more could be added to make a 52 card deck.

There seems to be a theme of several developers who are creating these types of card sets.  (Monte Cook Games, Toolcards, GM Apprentice, BackStory Cards, Inkwell Ideas are some of my favorites.)

The issue would likely be the rights from the listeners, but I think that a disclaimer that the Gauntlet may publish them would be OK.  It could be released Creative Commons.

The printing could be at cost (keeping the liability down) or proceeds could pay for editing, layout, and art.

The benefit is that many other DW fans outside the podcast audience could benefit from these excellent ideas (and possibly future contests).

  5. Logan Howard Hmm, not sure about the iTunes thing. But, you know what’s even better than leaving a five-star rating? Recommending our shows to a friend!

steven watkinsYeah, that’s a great idea. Something we’re looking at, as part of a future Patreon, is a monthly PDF of original material (items, adventure starters, etc.). I hadn’t thought of POD cards, but it’s a neat idea.

  7. Thanks so much Jason Cordova and David (wherever he may be hiding) It was awesome having both The Spider Ring and Mordecai mentioned. I’m currently working my way up to running a Dungeon World game as I have neither played Dungeon World nor GM’d a game before so getting two mentions on your podcast (especially being a finalist) is a nice confidence boost, I may just be on the right track yet. 🙂

  9. Thanks so much for choosing the ghost horse!  I’m really glad you guys liked it.  There were so many cool items in the contest, and I got lots of ideas for my own campaign.  I like steven watkins idea of the magic item card deck, and I’d be interested in illustrating it too.

  11. Allan DotsonHmm…now you guys are making me think this might be a good idea. I would probably want to clean them up a touch, mechanically-speaking, and maybe add a few more (to get up to 52). We’ll also need to get permission from the participants.

  13. Is there a comprehensive list of all the entries in a neat easily accessed format yet? I’m totally going to work some into my future campaigning.
